Game Applications Interaction
Gaming apps use built-in types (objects) and rarely generate a complete operational library or application on it's own. Very often, coders require access to gaming app platform libraries. In example, database access can be used to generate code that has to take advantage of a database, i.e. has to execute queries and retrieve results, this can be achieved in gaming apps using external classes and calls.
In order to do this, gaming app coders first have to develop a unified interface for this functionality. In the case of database access coders need three things: a database, a connection to that database and a result set. For each of these, it is important to identify the methods and fields needed. Then, the application supporting sets can define the result definitions.
Within gaming apps code, instances of classes can be created and used like any other object. After generating the code for the program, the code has to be linked against specific implementations for each of external definition.
